The Players Theatre Company presents

Kinky Boots

The Musical

Kinky Boots – The Musical is strutting its way to the Towngate Theatre in Summer 2023! Brought to you by the Players Theatre Company, the team behind 2018’s smash-hit production of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert and 2019’s spectacular production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! You can be sure to expect another all-out production with top-class costumes, West-End standard scenery and a full orchestra from this talented local company.

Charlie is the reluctant owner of Price’s shoes, forced to take on the struggling family business he had once dreamed of escaping. Lola is a wildly entertaining drag performer who may just have the ideas needed to turn the factory’s fortune around and save the business from closing its doors for good. Based on a true story [which later became a record breaking film] the show has great heart and shows that – with a little compassion and a lot of understanding – even this unexpected pair can learn to embrace their differences and create a line of sturdy-stilettos unlike any the world has ever seen!

With an electrifying score by 80s legend Cyndi Lauper and a book penned by the hilarious Harvey Fierstein, the show promises to be THE must see show of Summer 2023, so book early to get the best seats in the house, especially with our great Group Rates and our ‘can’t be beaten’ Early Bird Offer of 10% discount on all bookings paid before 1 July 2022

So get those boots on, and let’s get kinky!
