Performance Lab

Performance Lab is here. Facilitated by Terry Bird from New Town Films, Performance Lab is a weekly session for actors and performers to learn new skills, hone your craft, and get their creative juices flowing. Each session will work as a standalone, with focusses on elements such as self-tapes, audition techniques, and different theatre styles such as Street Theatre and Applied Theatre.

The session will run every Thursday between 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the theatre, and all are welcome. From beginners to veterans, these sessions are for anyone who wishes to hone their skills and join a cohort of people looking to further their work. Whilst focussing on skill building and performance craft, these sessions are also great for confidence building, a support network, and will be participant-led at all times. Special sessions will occur that focus on creating content for show reels and also self-tapes.

The sessions will also work towards a performance sharing in March 2024. Sessions cost £7.50 to attend, and come with a discount when 5 or more sessions are booked in advance. PLEASE NOTE: These sessions are for those aged 18 and over. These sessions are not for young people.
