New Town Original: This Is Essex

Created by Terry Bird who is the founder of New Town Films and originally from Essex, This Is Essex was released in 2005 and is said to portray the real like of an ‘Essex Geezer’. The film is set near to Basildon and emphasises the vulnerability and desperation of a young man living with the tacit threat of violence constantly simmering under the surface.
